Digital Dynamics Beta Site Requirements for Synchronet BBS Software

 1. Own and operate a 24 hour Synchronet Multinode BBS (2 or more REMOTE nodes)
    for six months or more at the same location and phone number.

 2. Valid zone 1 address in FidoNet node list (no points).

 3. 24 hour FidoNet front-end mailer with a V.32bis compatible modem.

 4. Will poll Vertrauen (1:103/706) a minimum of once daily for files and mail
    on hold as well as the SYNC_BETA echo (only readable by your beta team).
    If you carry DOVE-Net from Vertrauen, you do not need to carry the 
    SYNC_BETA via Fido.

 5. Minimum of 50 FidoNet backbone echoes, including SYNCHRONET (available for
    reading by all users, optional posting ability) and SYNC_SYSOPS (read/write
    access only to sysops (of any BBS software)).

 6. Minimum of 10 FidoNet filebone FDNs, including SYNCMAIN and SYNC3RDP.
    Both available as free downloads to users with files from last 90 days
    distribution.

 7. Minimum of 500 verifiable active user accounts.

 8. Absolutely no illegal activity on BBS, including but not limited to
    image files of questionable adult content, credit card fraud, telephone
    company fraud, virus/trojan horse development or distribution, and
    commerical or "pirate" software.

 9. Provided list of all external programs in-use online (including front-end
    mailers, upload tester, doors, transfer protocols etc). List includes
    program name, version, developer contact information, and configuration
    specifics.

10. Provided list of all users with sysop access (level 90 or higher). List
    includes user real name, alias (if any), and voice phone number.

11. At least one message network other than FidoNet (ITCnet, DOVE-Net, RIME
    etc) of any networking technology available (including other FTNs).

12. At least one XSDK developed add-on (Synchronet Blackjack, Callback,
    BBS List, Domain Poker, Dicewar, Beast's Domain, etc) and one non-XSDK
    developed add-on (DOOR.SYS, DORINFO1.DEF, etc).

13. Agreement to keep all information regarding alpha and beta releases
    confidential, accept when such information is unavoidably observable by
    users (speed enhancement, interface changes, etc). Disclosure of Digital
    Dynamics alpha or beta notes to anyone outside your approved beta team is
    explicitily disallowed.

14. Agreement to thoroughly read and follow instructions provided by Digital
    Dynamics.

Beta participants will receive a free upgrade to the release of the version
being beta tested.

running on which computers (if multiple workstations are in use) under
what operating environments (operating system, multitasker, memory manager
etc). Also include DTE rates, Caller-ID if in use, serial/FOSSIL drivers in use
(if any), receive FAX support, external transfer protocols other than DSZ,
non-XSDK doors in use, total number of message and file areas, and anything
else you might think is useful in our decision to include your system in our
beta test program.

Please do not enquire about this application after it has been submitted. We
will contact you if your system has been selected as a prospective beta site
for future Synchronet releases.
