ABOUT THE WISHLIST
The following items are currently being considered for future versions of
WMP98. If you are interested in any of these features, CONTACT THE AUTHOR so
we know you're interested. Features that receive a lot of requests will likely
be developed before features that have few requests. JUST BECAUSE IT'S ON THE
WISHLIST DOESN'T MEAN IT WILL DEFINITELY BE ADDED, so make sure you speak up
and make your preferences known.

If you would like to see an item added that is not on the list, CONTACT THE
AUTHOR with your request, and it will be added to the wishlist.

Items on this wishlist are listed in no particular order. Items appearing on
the wishlist may or may not be included in future versions of WMP98. The
author makes no warranty that items listed here will be added.

WISHLIST
May add option to the DHTMLAB Config program to set color codes within the
AddressBook program, so table rows can be different colors for ease of reading
-- see http://bbs.chemek.cc.or.us/public/Chemeketa/fall1998.htm for an example
of what I mean, and excuse the blatant ad. <G> May also allow the sysop to
set color codes for all pages generated by the AddressBook CGI (background
colors or images, text colors, link colors, etc.).

May add a "URL" and/or "Notes" field to the database, so each AddressBook
entry can also have a link to the person's home page and/or the user's notes
about that person.

May add "group" support so a user can choose to send a message to multiple
people at once (automated carbon copies to a group).

May add an option for the user to upload a text file with a list of addresses,
which could be automatically imported into the AddressBook application.

May add support for databases from other address book applications (if
requested by our users, and pending approval of the authors of those
programs). This would allow you to use their front end and databases to
add/edit/delete entries, and our popup form to access the address book from
within the new message page.

May add a Windows-based help file (or the new HTML-Help) to provide
instructions for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, etc. If anyone
has some cheap or free help file authoring software, let me know! Otherwise I
may just write a series of web pages with the detailed information, possibly
including them with the WMP98 archive.

May add support for a signature line to be automatically added to the end of
messages -- trying to resolve some issues on how this would work (would the
signature line be added automatically to any message the user sends, would it
be placed in the text box for replies so they can edit it, etc.). Ideas on how
you'd like to see this implemented (think of the user interface part -- I'll
worry about the programming part) would be quite helpful.
