version of wcHOME is a violation of the law.

What is wcHOME?
wcHOME is a .wcx for Wildcat! 5 Interactive Net Server that allows your
users to place html pages on the built in wildcat web server. In fact,
It will allow you to place them on any web server you want.

Before I get into using wcHOME, what does it cost?
wcHOME costs $40.00 fourty (40) dollars per license. A license must be
purchased for each Wildcat!5 BBS on which you wish to run wcHOME.

What are the limits to the Unregistered version?
wcHOME will only allow 5 directories with a maximum of 3 files each in
  the unregistered version.

How do I register wcHOME?
Print out the accompanying REGISTER.FRM and follow the instructions on
it. After registering wcHOME, you will receive a disk in the mail, or
an email with an attachment. Either way, you will receive a file called
"wchome.key" which must be put in the directory you enter as the parameter
  for wcHOME.

What do I need to do before running wcHOME?
Make sure you are running a web server.
Make sure your wcONLINE machines, and wcLOCAL machines are mapped to
the hard drive in your webserver that your users pages will reside on.

The sysop must follow these steps the first time he/she runs wcHOME.

  1. First place wchome.wcx in the Wildcat!5 Home directory. (ex: c:\wc5)
  2. Add it to a menu in wcMENU, then give the appropriate access to it.
Place the path to the directory you want your user directories placed
in as the parameter. (ex: c:\wc5\http\public\pages)
**NOTE - you must manually create the above directory.

  On my system (ex:)

     key: Y
     description [Y]..........Your Home Page
     action: Run a wcCODE program
     program: wchome
     paramaters: c:\wc5\http\public\pages\

  3. Now, log in, and run it. It will ask you the base url.
     (ex: http://bbs.cosmosbbs.com/public/pages/)

  4. Now enter up to 20 security levels, and a space limit for each.
Press enter without a security level to continue.
     (ex: Sysop -- 9999 kb, NetGold -- 2500 kb)

Every new user will follow these directions upon entering wcHOME.

  1. Now, it will prompt you for your directory name. Call it what you like.
It will make sure nobody else is using that directory name, and then
it will make your directory, and present you with what looks like the
Wildcat! single line file lister. At the top, it will show you
the URL of your page. At the bottom, it shows you space remaining.

Name your main page is called "default.htm", or a call to your home
directory (without a page name) will yield a "404 not found" error.

** NOTE Last I checked, the Wildcat web server required a filename in
   the URL. (ex: http://bbs.cosmosbbs.com/public/pages/pheller/default.htm)

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stuff you might want to know....

Also, if you place a file called "homepage.bbs" in your display directory,
it will display it every time someone enters wcHOME.

I don't think this will work under Windows 95. The directory format
is different. Somebody let me know if this is true.

In an upcoming revision, it will remove directories of expired users
after a configurable number of days (grace period).

Also, in an upcoming revision, it will allow you to append an include
file in every default.htm page. (Put a link to your home page in
every one elses pages, disclaimers, etc.)

I may implement some kind of user list as well.
