1. What is it?
==============
- Aren't you sick of all the generic CGI guest books, ever tried
  to configure one and gave up?
  Dynamic Guest Book is written in 32 bit native wcCode language
  utilizing state-of-the-art DHTML.

- Dynamic Guest Book DHTML (Dynamic HTML) and Templates to allow
  you to customize the look and feel in an unlimited way.
  Novices and experts alike can set up their own homepage on your
  server within 2-5 minutes.

- Easy to setup for Novice Sysops/Webmasters

2. Configuration File:
======================
This program is totally configurable by the SYSOP through the
GUESTBOOK.CFG file.
This is a simple text file that the SYSOP can edit to suit her/his
system.
Please open the cfg file in notepad or any other ASCI text editor
and modify it - instruction can be found in that file.

3. File in this Archive:
========================
1. Html-Gbook.wcx - the actual program
2. Guestbook.cfg - configuration file
3. *.jpg- optional graphics you can use
   (collected by me from the Internet)
4. guestbook.htm - the template.
5. gbook.htm - the guest book.

3. Installation:
===============================
1. Files handling and installation:
A. Copy the *.wcx and .cfg to your wildcat directory
   (make sure that the long file names are intact in the
   unzipping proccess).
B. Copy gbook.htm to the path you indicated in the .cfg file line
   #2. Your public directory is recommended.
   ( i.e c:\wc5\http\public)
C. Copy guestbook.htm to your template directory
   (c:\wc5\http\template)
D. Copy guest.jpg (or any other graphics you like)
   to wc5\http\public\graphics, or any other place,
   but remeber to edit gbook.htm to reflect it.
E. Create a text file named guestbook.ctr in your \data
   subdirectory

2. Edit guestbook.cfg as required. (make sure to create the
   directory per line #2, if does not exists)
3. Create a link which points to gbook.htm.
   <A HREF="/public/gbook.htm"> guestbook</A>
4. If you want your users to go directly to write in the
   guest book you can create a link
   <A HREF="/public/code/html-gbook">Write in our  Guestbook</A>.

6. Registration:
================
DYNAMIC Guest Book shareware's version is limited to 5 users
- Only 5 entries will be allowed using this version.
The registered version does not have this limitation.

On top of that I will throw in:
1. A utility to extract email addresses from guest books (or any
   other text that include email addresses)
2. A quote of the day file with great quotes.

Please read the included Register.doc file for information on
registering.

7. Notes:

1. This app works from the public side - the user does not have to
   be logged-in in order to read and write to the guestbook.

A good location for a link will be in the /public/default.htm.
