PLEASE NOTE!!!! Maddog Productions BBS has moved to the Internet as
a Home Page. HTTP://www.voicenet.com/~wmantz We are in most of the
major search engines (infoseek, alta-vista, etc.) A Net Search for
Maddog Productions or Catnews will reveal our page. We have also
physically moved, so that if you plan to register, the ORDER.FRM was
updated.

Upgrade as Follows for 1.x to 1.8

STEP 1. Overite your CTNEWS.WCX file (located in the Main WC Directory)
Overite your CTNEWS.EXE file. (located in the Main WC Directory)
Copy the CTSTART.HTM file to the Wildcat 5 Home directory.
Copy the CTEND.HTM file to the Wildcat 5 Home directory.
(you may wish to edit these files to suit your tastes).

Overite the ORDER.FRM file, New Address for Maddog.
Copy the Default.JPG to your \wc5\http directory.

STEP 2. Read the Whatsnew.txt file to see what was added. The new
CTHTM.CFG allows you to customize the HTML Newsletter.

Step 3. Unregistered Users should ENTER all Zero's for the Registration
Number. 00000000000000 See below. (if you did not do so).

Step 4. Make sure your \WC5 is in your PATH Statement of your
AUTOEXEC.BAT. Lastly, Check the CFG file for the
          following changes.

The config File now has the BBS Name on Line 3. So you need to Edit
your Current .CFG file located in the Main WC Home directory prior
to running this program. See the CTNEWS.CFG file for a complete
explanation included in this archive.

First Last (Registration Name)
C:\WC5\DISP\NEWSLTR.BBS
BBS Name (This will be displayed in the Newsletter Title!)
00000000 (your Reg Code)
3 (Auto-Trim Function. 0 means Delete all OLD News and overwrite)
           Can be a number from 0 to 9999 newsletters. 3 = recommended.

*Note the Autotrim function HAS NO EFFECT on the HTML news page.
The HTML News only has the LATEST News you wrote. There is no
old news scrolling... Frankly, it looked like crap. With HYPERTEXT,
you probably should only have the latest.

(5 line config File)

=============== NOTES ABOUT THE NEW CTHTM.CFG file ===================

The CTHTM.CFG file was added to allow you to change font color, Background
appearance or overall appearance of your newsletter. The CTHTM.CFG file
can be edited with a text editor. The BODY= line contains a basic default
example on how you can make your newsletter appear with a background image.
Dont make this file too long. This file contains STRAIGHT HTML Text that
is inserted right before the Catnews Heading.
