Welcome to Stars V1.1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As an Astronomer and a BBS sysop I have been looking into ways of helping
Amateurs get those bits of infomation that usually involve looking through
large lists and charts, this program is the first of the astronomy helper
programs I intend to create.
This program allows you to select a constellation and then lists the stars/Deep
space objects in that constellation, together with the Right Asc, Declination
and Magnitude (and name) of the stars.
It is a small and simple helper, nothing more and nothing less.
Installing
~~~~~~~~~~
Installing is more or less, as with all WCX programs:-

Unzip everythig,
Copy STARS.WCX to the wildcat directory (c:\wc5\STARS.WCX)
create the directory for the data file (e.g. c:\wc5\astro\) there data directory.
Copy STAR.DAT to the Directory (C:\wc5\astro\STAR.DAT)
and edit wcMENU to include a selection key to run the program

e.g. Selection Key -      c
     Description -        [C].....Constellations (Ra/Dec of the Stars)
     Command Type         Run wcCode program
     Program              Stars
     Parameter            C:\wc5\astro\

(Save)
Now try it !!

The next Project
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you have an interest in astronomy programs for your BBS feel free to
drop a note to CHRIS.STUBBS@MUSTANG.COM and I will make sure you can get hold
of my next project.
Planets.Wcx will calculate the RA and Dec of the planets. The program will be able
to be run as an event to create a Bulletin file, or run by a User to calculate
the positions of the planets on a specific day/time.
(N.B. All my projects will be uploaded to Mustang HQ)
