How to have a shareware board look with s50
and a pirate look board with s75, s100, Etc

Sure, Usually you say "I hate shareware and they suck cause they are
lamers, blah blah, etc etc" but If you're like me or anyone, You've
got some affils with guys that hate pirated software (Like Acid, for
instance) But if you really want to stay with them, They need a BBS #
for some stupid reason....
Another reason for this Doc is if you are kinda inexperianced with RG,
then just put this thing on, and Get all the Shareware BBS sysops on there
to give it a look...(Cause where i live, We have 3 local BBSs that are Rg:
Blanes world, SPOL2, and ShadowRealm)...The 1st two are shareware BBSs and
when i first started RG, I called them up, they never knew a thing was going
on!! (by the way, For Non-SR users, The reason i hardly got anything from
SR was because its always busy, and when its not, Shadow (The SysOp) aint got
time to Help me out!

This doc assumes that your shareware users have a s50 acs and your regular
users have a s100 acs..People with acs to the Nudy pictures also have a AR
flag "X"..Just because they have a s100 acs though doesnt mean
that they have more control over the board or anything...Just edit the acs
settings in System Config..

One of the things that is avalible on my board that so many sysops have asked
about, Is When a s100 guy gets on, he sees the A.message normally, *BUT*
when a s50 guy gets on he either DOESNT SEE THE A.MEGGAGE AT ALL or HE
GETS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AUTOMESSAGE! no joking...
Most RG sysops out there cant figure this little thingy out because they are
looking in the wrong places...They say "Did you modify RG or use a HeX
editor or something?" "Renegade wont let me put a sl on my automessage!"
"Is that REALLY renegade? not just another hack?"...etc..
They are looking in the wrong directions! Sure, you can't put a sl on the
automessage when it first comes up, BUT you can TURN IT OFF in Sys. Config.
and BRING IT UP AS A FIRSTCMD later on during logon! see? simple! Really!
Heres a look at my Setup on Start.mnu:

Menu filename: START
Command #1 of 3

1. Long descript : <= set this shit to null by hitting <Space>
2. Short descript: <= then hitting the <E4nter>.
3. Menu keys :FIRSTCMD
4. ACS required :"s100"
5. Cmdkeys :OL
6. Options :
   Flags :None
Q. Quit

1. Long descript :
2. Short descript:
3. Menu keys :FIRSTCMD
4. ACS required :"s100"
5. Cmdkeys :UR
6. Options :
   Flags :None
Q. Quit

1. Long descript :
2. Short descript:
3. Menu keys :FIRSTCMD
4. ACS required :""
5. Cmdkeys :-^
6. Options :main
   Flags :None
Q. Quit

NOTE: These commands have to be in order!!! If "Quit to Main" was before
"List of Callers" then The List would never get displayed!!! So think!
Now the 1st command displays the list of callers, If you want your users
to be protected, Cause a lot of people have been busted when their handles
pop up on boards people thought were Shareware...So put it in here and protect
your users from bad stuff...
Next is the Automessage: Put it in here and ONLY people with acs above s100
can see this one...If you want to go to the trouble of making a seperate
automessage for Shareware users (ITS A PAIN IN THE ASS) see the bottom of
these docs...
Next is the quit to main, Which goes to main and makes this whole thing look
just like any normal day of the year..
And thats all there is to that part...

Ok now start with the conferences.. I have 2 conferences up now: Main board
and My seperate Adult files conference...The main board is "@" and the nuddy
pics are Conf. "A". The Main board has a security level of "VV" and the
nuddy pics are at "s100FX" which means security level 100 and AR flag X.
the shareware users can be in the same conf as the rest of 'em, which makes
it a lot easier for the users and a lot less suspicious to the shareware
users...
Now for File bases.
Mine look like this:

NNN:File base name :Flags :ACS :UL ACS :DL ACS :Maxf

File base editor (?=help) :

OK, you arent seeing double or anything...The Duplicate File Bases are so
if a Guy who is s100, He can see ONLY the Misc For the elite files...The
Shareware files are a bit different, Though....translated, It means this:
IF HE HAS s50, HE CAN SEE THE FILES IN CONF. 1..IF HE HAS S100 OR ABOVE,
HE DOESNT SEE THEM IN CONF 1 AT ALL BUT HE SEES A CONF 3 AND THEY ARE ALL
IN THAT DIR! :)
Awww, If you dont understand that, Now, Get some help...ehhe, well the adult
conf. works the way most conferences do, Except, that he also needs The AR
flag X to see them.
Of course all the files need to be in the right conference, so we do this
by putting a "C", and then a letter of the conference we want in the ACS.

HOW TO MAKE A SEPERATE AUTOMESSAGE FOR PEOPLE WITH LOWER ACS
------------------------------------------------------------

The thing you need to do is Make an InfoForm that looks like an AutoMessage..
If you arent familliar with The InfoForm, Go pick up a copy of The RG Docs,
They'll explain them....Well Make one to look like the Following...

******************************************************************************
;A*
;A*
;A*
;A*
;A*
******************************************************************************

And that is basicly it, Beside the Header...
(AMESS.ASC)

|08Enter the AutoMessage Below.
|08You Get|04 5 |08Lines.

The Menu Looks like this....

1. LoNg DeScRiPt :
2. ShOrT DeScRiPt:
3. MeNu KeYs :W
4. ACS ReQuiReD :"!s99"
5. CmDkEyS :D-

They have to be in order!!!!
The delauto.bat deletes the amess.asw (the infoform answers), because
otherwise, it just would keep adding on automessages onto the original,
because that's what info forms do.. =)
To read the automessage, Do this:
The amess.asc is the header.. if we tried to stick this in the infoform,
it would appear on the display, and look wierd
The amess.inf is just as we explained above, It looks like the real auto-
message...

1. LoNg DeScRiPt :(R)ead Auto-Message - Displays the current auto-message
2. ShOrT DeScRiPt:(R)ead Auto-Message
3. MeNu KeYs :R
4. ACS ReQuiReD :"!s99"
