                        FeKill History-File

New since FEKILL 1.48:
======================

                  (+) - new feature
                  (!) - changed behaviour
                  (*) - bugfix

       (+) If Areafix-type in Fesetup/Nodemanager/Afixflags/Areafix type
is set to "None", Fekill will write a notify-mail to the
sysopname of this link instead of a mail to areafix.
Header can be configured with the new keyword NOTIFY_DELETED_HEADER.

(!) Fekill now writes to Areafix, Arealink or Echomgr, depending on
           the settings of Fesetup/Nodemanager/Afixflags/RemoteProgram.

(+) If Areafixtype is set to "Enhanced" (FSC-0057), areas will be not
only unlinked (-areaname) but deleted (~areaname). See FSC-0057
           for further detail.

(!) The dos-version of fekill now shows "Fekill/386" and
           "FEKP", the os/2-version as "Fekill/2" and "FEK2"

(+) When announcing new echos, the description is shown as well

(+) The number of days shown in the verbose list is now justified
           right (to 3 digits)

(*) Spaces in areanames listed in the exclude list are now killed.
To specify areas with spaces use the question mark ("?"), e.g.
                        instead of "MY AREA"
                        use "MY?AREA"

(!) The notify mails are now originating from "Fekill" and not
from the sysopname defined in fastecho.cfg

(+) Fekill writes PKTs in the secure inbound. (Keyword NEWECHO_AREA)

       (+) New keywords for fekill.cfg:

           NEWECHO_AREA
           NEWECHO_DELETE

(+) the date of the last traffic is shown in notify-mails for
           each area now

(!) -killpassive with style 'KILL' now writes areafix-mails.

(*) date and time of the netmails should now be correct

(!) When POSTLOG is set to YES and DELETELOG to NO,
only the logfile-part of the current run will be posted
           as netmail to the sysop.

       (+) New keywords for fekill.cfg:

           ONELINK_POST
           ONELINK_IGNORE_STORAGE

           see fekill.dmo for further description

       (+) New commandline-switches:

           -ignore: only valid with -notify
-notify -ignore may not be used with other switches

-unlink: used with -onelink it deletes all areas with only one
                    link

(+) Logfile: added some stuff for tracking why an area was removed.

                AF: Areafix
                OL: Onelink
                FK: Fidokill
                KP: Killpassive

       (+) Supporting wildcards (* and ?) in the exclude-file.

           e.g.: ISDN*

                   REQUEST.W??.GER

       (+) New keywords for fekill.cfg:

           WAIT_SEMAPHORE
           ABORT_SEMAPHORE
           CREATE_SEMAPHORE
           ONEXIT_SEMAPHORE

           see fekill.dmo for detailed description

       (+) New keywords for fekill.cfg:

           KILL_PASSIVE_AREAS
           KILL_PASSIVE_ACTION
           PASSIVE_LIST_NAME

           see fekill.dmo for detailed description

       (+) new commandline-switch:

                -KILLPASSIVE

           enables the killpassive-keywords in fekill.cfg
!must not be used with -gather!

       (+) Some new log-entries for debug-mode:

"Area 'xyz' would have been killed"
"Area 'xyz' would have been set to passive"

       (+) New log-entry:

           "Found passive area 'xyz'"

       (+) new keyword for fekill.cfg:

           NOTIFY_SYSOP: YES/NO

if yes, the sysop will be notified per netmail about dead echos

       (!) removed the "-reset" switch

(!) "Writing netmails" now only appears if there are netmails
           to be written.

(!) using the real sysopname as defined in Fastecho.cfg for netmails
           instead of "Sysop"

       (+) new keyword for fekill.cfg:

           DELETELOG: YES/NO
(only used if POSTLOG is set to YES)

deletes logfile after posting it as netmail to the sysop

       (!) behaviour of "-onelink":
used with -afix/-fidokill : creates list and deletes areas
                                         (resp. sets them to passive)

used with -notify : creates list and posts it as netmail
                                         to the sysop

used without other switches : creates list

(!) removed the headerline from the flow-file

(!) removed the headerline from the ascii-list

       (+) New log-entries:

              "Creating D:\FEKILL\ONELINK.LST"
              "Removing empty onelink-list D:\FEKILL\ONELINK.LST"
              "Posting onelink-list to sysop"

       (+) new keyword for fekill.cfg:

           POSTLOG: YES/NO

if YES, the logfile will be posted as netmail to the sysop using
the main AKA and the first sysopname defined in Fastecho.Cfg.
The log will NOT be deleted afterwards, so take care.

       (+) New log-entry:

              "Stopping execution because of I:\XENIA\IPC\febusy.0"

(!) changed the name of the executable to FEKILL2 for the OS/2-version

       (+) FEKILL/Dos included, needs DOS4GW to run

       (+) New logfile-entry:

"area xyz has been set to passive"

       (!) important change:
Switch -SETPASSIVE is now possible with -notify, -afix,
           -onelink and -fidokill
(not only with -notify as before)

(+) Areafixmails will be written for areas that are set to passive,
not only for those that are deleted from fastecho.cfg

       (+) new keywords for config-file:

             ONE_LINK_HEADER : header for the one_link_list

             Example content:

             ONE_LINK_LIST : written by fekill

           content of file:

Plain ascii list of areas with only one link.
Can be posted to your downlinks using Feutil post

           parameter:

              -onelink
!may not be used with -gather!

       (+) added (I)/(E) to the verbose-listing:
                 (I) -> last action in this area was mailimport
                 (E) -> last action in this area was mailexport

(!) since there's no timestamp in fastecho.dat for the date
of the last im-/export, fekill uses the current system time
           instead.

(+) added counter for unregistered versions

(+) rewrote the exit-routine, using atexit() now

(!) using a binkley-style log for all mailers except FD and IM now

to update your old key simply netmail me
