Attention: Lord/Lord II/Tournament LORD (and TEOS) authors:
Authors.txt file updated September 19, 2000:

I am producing a new Lord IGM Authors Newsletter, taking up from where
Bryan Turner stopped doing his newsletters a couple of years ago. As of
Sept. 19, I have now released four newsletters. Issue #5 will be released
before Christmas, covering mid-September through mid-December 2000.

Newsletter coverage: It is primarily oriented for LORD authors, and
LORD web-site developers, but includes material from TEOS authors at
times, and can include submitted material from Lord players. LORD,
LORD II, and Tournament Lord - Wildcat and Worldgroup versions are
the specific programs covered and are referred to simply as LORD usually.
Send all e-mail to me at: donald.tidmore@usa.net - and if you do not
have an e-mail address you can leave a message in my Castle Camelot
web-site's Guestbook. A link is provided for it at the bottom of my
LORD Links Page, which is located at:
http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/5389/camelot5.html.

One thing that I feel might be of interest to newsletter readers
is the opinions of authors and Lord players of the newest LORD, v4.05
public Beta, developed by Michael Preslar.

Information provided by authors who have not previously contacted
me should include a listing of your Lord programs, if any, and the
address of any Internet web-site you have that is Lord-related. This
will be used in maintaining and updating my LORD web-pages on my Castle
Camelot web-site. When writing, please answer these questions:

1) Are you inactive or active. Examples to be considered active: You
have released a Lord program in the last 3-6 months, or you have updated
your web-site (significantly) in the last 3-6 months.

2) If you wish to be a contributor to the newsletter, will you provide
me updates on your Lord work, monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly?

3) If you have quit writing for LORD, LORD II, or Tournament LORD,
do you still support your programs? And are you willing to turn over
(or sell) your programs to another LORD author, including Korombos
and Michael Preslar?

4) My Castle Camelot LORD Links Page -- available at:
   http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Vista/5389/camelot5.html --
lists known LORD-related web-sites. Please let me know if you are
not listed, and I will add a listing for your site. If you are
listed already, and some of your programs are not listed, please
let me know which ones need to be added.

5) I am collecting information, to forward to Michael Preslar, on how the
various Lord II authors feel Lord II should be upgraded, or about any
current bugs that need to be fixed in it. Please send me any ideas or
thoughts you have for upgrading/fixing Lord II. Comments on future
upgrades of LORD will also be appreciated.

Previous Issues information: Issues 1 through 3 were prepared as
Text newsletters, and released through my Listbot LordNews mailing list.
As they are updated over time, the most current version of these files
can always be obtained from my Castle Camelot web-site. HTML Conversion
versions were made of Issues #1, #2, and #3, and posted on my web-site
between April and June, 2000. Starting with Issue #4, just released,
all issues are produced as HTML web-pages. A text version will be prepared
on the day of the newsletter's official release and transmitted via Listbot
to the mailing list members.

The primary source for my Lord Newsletter files is my web-site. Secondary
sources, which are generally NOT updated as revisions are made, are the
DDS web-site, hosted by Ruth Argust; the BBS Archives web-site, hosted
by Mike Ehlert; and the Kiteria's Korner web-site, hosted by Bobby Queen,
and jointly maintained by Bobby and myself.

Archives of the HTML pages are listed as ccigm-1h.zip and upward.
Archives of the Listbot Text pages are listed as ccigm-01.zip and upward.
For reasons of my own, some of the files on my web-site will be lower-case,
and others are in upper-case. To access the files, see the links in each
newsletter file, whether it is a text file, or HTML page.

         ------------------------------------------------------------
If any of you need to have your programs distributed for Lord, Lord II,
or Tournament Lord, and you do not already know how to do so, here's
contact information for the people who can help you with this. Also, you
can send your programs to me, and I will forward them to these people.

Lord II programs should ALWAYS be sent to Bobby Queen at wizards@shelby.net.
At present, Bobby is not able to review the programs, but will post your
Lord II files on his Official Lord II IGM Archive Site --
http://www.shelby.net/wizards/lord2igm/index.htm . He also wishes to
have anyone with TEOS files send them to him.

All Lord/Teos programs can be sent to Mike Ehlert at mike@pcmicro.com
for distribution through the BBS Archives (Pacific Coast Micro) website --
http://www.pcmicro.com .

All BBS-related programs, including Lord/Teos files, can be sent to
Ruth Argust at ruth@doorgames.org for distribution on the DDS website --
http://www.doorgames.org. This applies ONLY to the programs' authors,
unless you have their written permission to distribute their programs
for them.

Please note the following requirements for transmitting files to either
Mike or Ruth. All archives must be in .ZIP format, be checked for viruses,
and be virus-free, contain file_id.diz files, identifying the program.
For the DDS web-site, programs must be transmitted by the author, or you
must have their written permission to transmit their files for them.
Those needing more information should go to the DDS web-site at:
http://www.doorgames.org and download the ddsinfo.zip file available there.
         ------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks in advance for any advice, upgrade information, programs information,
website addresses, and so forth that you send me. All those who do help me
with this project will be acknowledged for their aid either in a Newsletter
or on my LORD Links Page.
