EleBBS Telnet Server, W32, GUI, OS2.
  ====================================

The 32-bit versions of EleBBS include a program called
Telsrv.exe, this is a basic telnet server. It allows the
running of the facilities available in EleBBS over a TCP/IP
connection without the need for additional drivers.
However, currently doors are not supported and should not be
executed from a telnet node of EleBBS.

In elconfig there are a number of options you must set-up to
  enable telnet too work:

  Elconfig: System>Paths>Telnet Base.

This option enables you to define the location where EleBBS
and telsrv will be executed from. This option is useful if
you are running different versions of EleBBS, for example,
you may wish to run the dos version of EleBBS for your dial
  up lines.

  Elconfig: System>Paths>Node Paths.

This tells EleBBS where it should create the node
directories required to sprawn a telnet node.

For example "c:\elebbs\node*N\", this tells EleBBS to create
the node directories in "c:\elebbs\", the *N is translated
to the current node number EleBBS is to create.

  Elconfig: Modem>Telnet:

Max. Sessions: Sets the Maximum number of connections to
                   be made available via telnet.

Server port: Sets the port number which users have to
login too, the default port for telnet is
                   usually 23.

Start node#: The node number the first telnet user will
be logged on too. This should not be set
to a node number which will be used by dial
                   up nodes.

No telnet.DL: Allow or disallow Downloads via a telnet
                   node.

Start Minimized: When telsrv sprawns an EleBBS task setting
this option to yes will start EleBBS
minimized, this solves the problem of a
window appearing whilst you are operating
other tasks on your PC, thus your input
                   will not be interrupted.

To start the telnet server, change to the appropriate
directory where telsrv.exe is located, this should already
have been defined "Elconfig: System>Paths>Telnet Base", and
execute telsrv.exe. The telnet server will now be running,
waiting for a telnet user too call. When telsrv detects a
user attempting to login to the BBS via telnet it will
sprawn a new task, which will provide the interface for the
user to interact on the BBS. Ensure the correct version of
elebbs.exe resides in the same directory as telsrv.exe,
i.e. the win32 version of EleBBS and the win32 version of
telsrv. It will not work with the dos version of EleBBS.

  * Note: This manual assumes you already have TCP/IP
facilities installed for your operating system.
Please consult the documentation provided with
your operating system for information on how to
           accomplish this.
