Graph is a pair of freeware screens from the Sysop of Stalag 13 BBS,
Keith Heitmann. It can be used as a logon, bulletin, or goodbye screen.

How to edit GRAPH screens. Simply use MS-DOS EDIT.COM (everyone has it),
its what I made the screens with in the first place. You only need to
  make a few changes.

  1. Replace "your own bbs" with the name of your own board. You may have
to re-center the text file if your board's name is very long. Use the
EDIT.COM overtype mode (press INSERT on your key board to switch
to it or back to the insert mode.) Place the cursor over the first
letter of "your" in the title bar and type the name of your board
carefully. DO NOT USE BACKSPACE TO ERASE MISTAKES! Simply use the
left arrow to move back to your mistake and type over it.

If your board's name is longer than I have allowed for you should
type your board's name over the "your personal bbs " as far as you
can go and stop when you overtype the last "s" in "bbs". Press the
INSERT key to return to the insert mode and type the remaining
letters of your board's name. Count the number of extra letters as
you type. Place the cursor over the first letter of your board's
name and NOW use the backspace key to erase the number of spaces
that matches the number of letters you counted. Play around with
the centering the text by adding and deleting spaces in front or
     behind the text.

  2. To create new topics simply overtype the ones I've supplied.
Example: To replace "28.8K Modem" with "Door Game Reg." move the
cursor over the "2" in "28.8K" and type "Door Game Reg." using
the OVERTYPE mode (press INSERT key.) TRY NOT TO CAUSE CHANGES IN
THE POSITION OF ANY OF THE GRAPHIC LINES.

To remove extra lines just go to the far left of the first line you
wish to delete. The cursor show be against the left margin. Hold
down the SHIFT key, and press the DOWN ARROW. This will highlight
the entire line. Press DELETE to delete it. If you want to delete
the last two lines, then hold down the SHIFT key and press the
DOWN ARROW key TWICE. Then press DELETE.

  3. To add a new line when it becomes necessary, move the the far left
column (left margin) of one of the lines like "28.8K Modem", then
press SHIFT and the DOWN ARROW key. Then press and hold the CTRL
key and press the INSERT key. This will copy the highlighted text
into the "clipboard" memory. Then position the cursor one line down
below the one you just copied with the cursor against the left
margin and press and hold the SHIFT key and the INSERT key to
insert a duplicate line on that line. Then change to the OVERTYPE
mode (press INSERT -- the cursor should be flashing) and type in
     the new item name.

  4. To add items to the bar graph, just COPY and paste those small
graphic boxes to the bar graph.

  5. Add the cost of the item and the update the donations as they are
added to the chart to the two items on each line you are taking
donations for. The modem is $240, the current donation amount is
$40 in my example. Use the OVERTYPE mode to make these changes.

  6. An ANSI and BBS version is available for you to use.

  7. Add donator names to the bottom of the list (with your name in the
xxxxxxxxxxxx field in front of "(Your Sysop)". Keep the
prompts below all names. These should always be your bottom line.

  8. BE CAREFUL. Type accurately. To view your finished graph just
use the DOS "TYPE" command. From DOS just type: TYPE GRAPH.ANS
If all looks good to you, then just copy the .ANS/.BBS files to
their destination in the \DISPLAY directory and to their final
file names, like LOGON7.ANS and LOGON7.BBS or BULLET9.ANS and
     BULLET9.BBS, or GOODBYE.ANS and GOODBYE.BBS.

To use as a GOODBYE screen put the @HANGUP@ command as the very last
thing on the very bottom line of the file. Make the
     line look like this: @HANGUP@

Other freeware screens I've made are found in the files called
LOGONX.ZIP, LOGONXB.ZIP (these are user stat screens ANS and BBS
versions respectively), and CHKITOUT.ZIP a screen for sysops running
a subscription or pay BBS. Puts the callers name, town, state, and
phone number on an oversized "bank check". THIS ONE REALLY MAKES
     THEM STOP AND LOOK!

You can get these screens from my board, Stalag 13 BBS, 219-763-0826
or from Mark Goodwin's Lobster Buoy BBS.
