I'd put plainly in the rules that the echo isn't for religious debate, and keep 
it moderated to keep that sort of content out of it.  And maybe make a second 
echo for religious debate, if people truly want to get into that sort of thing. 
 That way everybody's happy, and no opinion has to be silenced. Questionable 
posts could also be moved to the debate echo, for all that goes, instead of 
deleting.
