....and that is only because I was forced to recover a recent Restore
point 6 days ago. System uptime is typically 30 to 60 days on my T60
before I need to do a full shutdown or Restart to refresh a finicky USB
port.

With the little bit of use I've had with the T540p and the SSD, it comes
up within 10 seconds after a full shut shutdown, but I haven't finished
the Win10 registration yet.

I know!  I'll have friends call me too, and usually a full off/on makes
their problem go away. Their problems can depend on a combination of
other things they are putting the OS through.

I have 3 pcs connected to my work network. I just hibernate at the end
of the day. No problem for months. I hate the Win7 updates that force me
to reboot.

I am not a fan of Suspend/Sleep.  I want to maximize battery use when
lugging a laptop around, and I don't want a surprise if a pc was in
Sleep and I get a power outtage overnight. So a Hibernate is a better
option all around.
