I actually ran into something like this with Synchronet as well. Apparantly 
Amigas' lha uses a different method of compression, like -3 or something like 
that when the default on Linux is -5 or some such. I don't remember specifics, 
but it's possible Vorlon remembers, as I think he was the one that told me why 
it was happening. Sure enough, when I forced it to use the other method, it 
worked.
