My first BBS ran on an Epson 386AX with the 'ExecHost' software as the 'SunnyIsland BBS' in 1988. That oftware was a bit limited but after having tested the PCBoard BBS beta software in 1992 I switched to it and started up HAM-BOX BBS. When PCBoard upgraded 1995 to v15 it came with full support for Fidonet, and in nov. 1995 I joined Fido. When PCB was upgraded to v15.2 it also included full OS/2 support and I changed the operating system from PCDOS/DesqView to OS/2. What a relief! In 1992 I did also install a BBS running PCBoard on a Compaq but I didn't like that the Compaq relied only on add-ons specifically for that computer/operating system, so I preferred the M$ and IBM PCDOS solution, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year my friend.
