Pardon the late reply on this, Ed.

You're in the treasured environment of FidoNet, where you're not spied on by 
countless ad and marketing systems that try to know everything about you 
-without your permission. Where you're not subject to inadvertently picking up 
some destructive virus (at least on all POTS systems and virtually all telnet 
systems.  Where you can read and post to your heart's content without (usually) 
being harassed by countless twits and assorted morons. No fancy - glitzy 
multimedia graphics - just plain old text.  Sure, you can't post a picture of a 
problem you're having, but it's IMO, a small trade-off.

Hopefully we can keep this antiquated but effective system of BBSes up and 
running for a LONG time to come!
