Thanks Jean, I'll check that, but I happened to stumble across the
setting yesterday.

The WiFi connection refused to open as usual, so I went to the window
where the various networks that my WiFi hears, to check the settings of
my WiFi connection.

There it was. 'Metered connection' was ON, it's now OFF.

Yes if you know where to look for it. I'll check your advice tonight.

The odd thing is, that when I put windows to search for 'metered' and
'metered connection', I got no response.
