Subj : RG Loading Commands To : All From : T.J. Mcmillen Date : Sat Dec 19 2020 03:46 pm Here are the command options to load RENEGADE. Found this already in this base, but was 10 years ago. ;) Renegade accepts the following Commandline Parameters: -5 This runs Renegade in Window Mode 160x50. ÄBnnnnn This command tells the BBS that a user is already connected at nnnnn baud. When loading Renegade with this parameter, the WFC screen will be skipped and the user will be dropped directly into the logon sequence. ÄEEnnn If a critical error occurs during the operation of the BBS, it aborts to DOS with an ERRORLEVEL value of nnn. ÄENnnn Whenever a user logs off, and the -Q parameter is specified on the commandline, Renegade returns an errorlevel of 0 if no new echomail was entered, and an errorlevel of 2 if new echomail was entered. This commandline changes the errorlevel Renegade will exit with to nnn. NOTE: When pressing Q from the WFC screen, Renegade will exit with an errorlevel of 255, regardless of whether or not this parameter is used. -D Load Renegade's OVR file to DISK, and DISABLE all expanded memory options. Good for trouble shooting when there are memory problems and or issues. -F Start Renegade's Internal FILES.BBS importer. ÄID If you wish to pass Called ID information to Renegade, use this parameter. This is most likely to be used in conjunction with a Front-End Mailer that supports Caller ID. -IP If you are using a front end capable of doing so, the IP address of the person logging into the BBS will be passed to Renegade. ÄL This tells Renegade to load itself in local mode. While in local mode, Renegade will ignore the modem entirely (it won't send anything out to the modem, and won't respond to incoming calls) ÄMn Will create a QWK mail packet for user n then return to DOS. ÄNn Specifies which node to load (ie, -N1 loads Node 1, -N2 loads Node2, etc.). *Make Certain* that you've turned multinode support on in the Main System Configuration before you implement this parameter on your commandline. ÄP Pack the message bases and return to DOS. -Q Tells Renegade to quit back to DOS after user loggs off. ÄS Sort the File areas and return to DOS. -T Will load Renegade in "Telnet Mode". This option is used when using Net2BBS or similar Telnet Servers. This also converts all callers baud rates into "TELNET" on the last caller list. -TC Will load Renegade in "Telnet Mode". This option is used when using NetSerial, COM/IP, or SIO as your virtual com port emulator. This also converts all callers baud rates into "TELNET" on the last caller list. ÄQ Quit to DOS instead of the WFC screen upon logoff. ÄUn Will upload a REP mail packet for user n then return to DOS. ÄXnnnn External event start time in nnnn minutes. Renegade will treat this as a built in hard event and log the user off in nnnn minutes. .... I offer you your enemies. --- Renegade v1.22a/DOS * Origin: The Titantic BBS Telnet - ttb.hopto.org (1:129/305) .
