Subj : 370 Assembler convertor for OS/2 (and Win32) To : Clem Clarke From : David Noon Date : Fri Jun 02 2000 10:48 am Hi Clem, Replying to a message of Clem Clarke to All: CC> Without trying to sound like an ad, Rule 3 allows *program authors* to advertise their works here, but a maximum of once a month. So you are free to post a message to All about it. CC> I'd just like to let you all know CC> that I have just released a beta of a convertor for 370 Assembler to CC> Intel. Does it convert HLASM source to MASM? From our earlier, private correspondence (about 2 years ago?) I would guess it produces TASM source. How do you handle system macro conversions? For example, does your converter take, say, a TIME macro and convert it into a DosGetDateTime() call? Do you use a TIME macro instead that expands to the appropriate API call? What if I use SVC 11 directly? ... :-) [I don't use SVC 11 in open code, BTW.] The BIGGY: what about QSAM macros? If this is really fully featured then it is a fascinating product.
