Subj : ROBUST AUDIO TOOL 4 OS/2? To : ALL From : DAVID DURGEE Date : Wed Oct 03 2001 01:56 am My son left monday to study in Japan for 10 months. Given the expensive phone rates between here and Japan I sought a way to use the internet to keep in touch with him. I found the subject line of this message at the freshmeat.net site. Robust Audio Tool (RAT) is used in internet teleconferencing applications and is a mature, actively maintained multi-platform product. It was last updated on 2001-09-24 and has been ported to many versions of Windows, Linux and mainstream Unix systems. It can be used in a point to point mode and offers many features other packages do not including multiple encoders, encryption and forward error correction. Can I interest someone in adding OS/2 to the list of supported platforms? If so, goto http://freshmeat.net/projects/rat/ for further information and links to the homepage and source code. I don't have the disk space, tools or experience in this area or I would attempt it myself.
