It's more common to use POTS or get fiber. i don't know about that but i regularly assist folks over there with the firewall i support and DSL stuffs... SD> I'd love an ISDN line for the BBS but CenturyLink wants $300 a month SD> for it... no, you really don't want ISDN these days... the charges for calls outside your ranges are especially expensive... but if you really have to have ISDN then get your local utilities commision involved and get them to make the telcos charge the same rates for them that they do for a single POTS line... that's only two numbers at most 64k each but more likely 56k due to bit robbing by the telco to get another connection or two out of the bits they've stolen... but seriously, ISDN cannot hold a candle to DSL... i've got 3Meg down 768K up here for only $40/month (IIRC)... ISDN is only 64k in each direction plus the metered range charges... one of my client ran up a $40000 bill for one month calling from southern pines to raleigh because they insisted on having it connecting even though metered distance charges were involved... if they had been able to wait a week for the local connection to come online, they would not have had anything more than their base bill of $100 to deal with... )\/(ark Always Mount a Scratch Monkey Do you manage your own servers?
