It appears it is the "-t" in my filename bp-tut01.mps that is causing the issue? As if mplc is reading that as "./mplc -t". If I rename my file to tut01.mps, btut01.mps, or bptut01.mps it's fine but if I use any combination of "-t" (bp-tut01.mps, b-tut.mps) mplc is running as if I called ./mplc -t. ....
