Gmail doesn't accept spaces in usernames when you try to add pop RM> servers so that's the big issue. I have no problems having a login with a space in the user name with my Gmail on Android. Maybe if you try an automated setup it defaults to logging in with your e-mail address? I have seen clients do that. Manual setup allows you to set the login and password (at least it does for me). ....
