I don't have an /etc/timezone, never did that I know of. I do have an /etc/localtime and it is set to Pacific Daylight Time or America/Vancouver.

The date command says the time is currently Thu Oct 15 00:55:10 PDT 2020. My timestamp will be +7 hours I think.
