Yes, I've seen evidence of Windows in things like ATMs and public information
boards - usually when there's some sort of error.  

As I've said previously, the information boards for the trams in central
Melbourne actually run Linux.  I once saw one of them booting, and the familiar
penguins appeared on the screen. :)
