You need to run the 'upgrade' binary. Did you follow the upgrade docs to a T?

I'd be careful swapping bitrate...particularly if you are having problems
with a 64 - to - 64 bit upgrade.

Let's get this to work first and then confirm with someone like g00r00 that
going from 64 to 32 bits is supported. My assumption is that it's not, but I
can't be sure.
