I suspect there's no solutions for these issues.  You are trying to use
Mystic's NNTP server in a way it wasn't designed to be used, so the assumprions
on which it was written aren't valid for your use case.

I don't know if you can do it with Mystic.  You could try JAMNNTPd, but again
you may run into design limitations.  Only one way to find out though. :)
