Does anybody know if inter-bbs gaming is still popular ?

I'm thinking about registering stuff from "johndaileysoftware.com" but don't 
really want to be stuck playing online games by myself or with slow, infrequent 
or inactive players.

For example the low activity received in MUFFIN would make for a boring online 
game.
