  Bill McGarrity suggested I try BinkP, but I had several questions on it. 
However, I won't rehash them here.

  Suffice it to say, if switching to BinkP doesn't work, then Comcast is 
apparently blocking the incoming ports. I already have to use a different port 
for email.
