That was before some of the tracking websites were around to tell you where you were getting out to. SD> They have a weekly net on 40 meters. Have looked at one of those for a long wire...but would have to use it on my home-brewed end-fed or the SuperAntenna I got almost 15 years ago. Eventually...may have to get an MFJ mag-loop. Got much of the stuff to build it...including the resistor an old AM radio restorer gave me from one of the sets he salavaged. Had a buddy in Twin Falls who's so noisy where he's at that the loop is the only way to get out & get something clear sounding. Ahhhhhh...I have an RPi 3B+ with the ethernet HAT for power. If my old 2B+ hadn't been stolen by the bum who used to be my roommate...could hook that up...since it was what I originally bought it for. Not sure if the Zero would have enough power to decode some of the stuff like FT-8 & such. When I bought my FT-450 about 10 years ago...looked at your Icom. Hard to believe they are still building/selling them. Have also been thinking (if I can find it)...getting the 80 M loop for the SuperAntenna & joining the Sunday morning Net on 80 from Idaho. Hopefully I will start working on that soon! Nice!!! Am wondering how difficult it would be to compile FLDigi to run under OS/2? Many of the libraries should be available. Maybe it's time to contact the author to see what he says. If I could do the FT/JT modes...along with Hell & such...that would be a hell of a use for OS/2. For that matter...someone where the author of JT-65 & such should be smart enough to do a copy for OS/2.
