I'm afraid I can't be of much help, Paul. I haven't used mine for a very long time, only pausing occasionally to admire it as I look through the box of radios I have in storage. On my desk is an IC3210 dual bander which I much prefer over the 47a...that and my trusty Drake UV3 tri-bander. There's a 'reset' button under one of the covers, perhaps even accessable via the small door on top. All you'll lose are those frequencies you've programmed into memory. Consult your owner's manual to know for sure. Either one of those capable of AM? I know that was Edmonson's favorite mode of operation. Interesting that Yaesu uses FT on you mobile rig and my walkie talkie; FT-708r.. 10 meter rig here, besides the TS-520, is an HR-2510. PW> Can't find a lick of info abt the 212 for some reason other than PW> the mars/cap and a full unlock mod. :/ I ran across some old files containing mods for a lot of radios. When I come across them again, I'll make a note to look for the 212... .... Grampa Witt's Sparkware T-Shirt had a walkie talkie mic holder. --- Twit(t) Filter v2.1 (C) 2000 * Origin: KB6PI's Cantina * Santa Ysabel, CA (1:10/22) .
