ĄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ--łś You can get Lace Sensors out of the Musician's Friend catalog i.e., Http://www.musiciansfriend.com The blue pickups are $49.99, the red ones are $59.99, golds are $39.99 and silvers ar $49.99. Their prices are just about the same as Mars or Guitar Center. I think Carvins are actually a good deal and Carvin has recently come out with a dual coil strat pickup. But the purists might be offended with dual coils. I think EMG actually has a better idea using "low impedence" pickups which negate the noise and favor the midtones. Since low impedence pickups have low output, this necessitates the use of onboard preamps. the DG module EMG makes (David Gilmour) is great. Just listen to Gilmour's strat tones. His tones have always amazed me. Other folks have avoided onboard preamps and just keep with straight high impedance single coils i.e, Bonnie Raitt uses the Kinmans which seem very nice. I think this is where I would be headed.
