One of the best online shops for musical stuff (including lots of the famous 
guitar brands) for Germany can be found on www.musik-produktiv.de. They offer 
fair prices compared with the german price-levels which seem to me very high...
The second-hand shops are a better source for good (and fairly cheap) 
instruments but you have to spend a lot of time if you're looking for something 
special (it took me about 2 years, till i finally found my steinberger gm7t, 
but instead of last list price of US$ 3950 i only had to pay DM 2100 for a 
almost new one...). Second hand prices for older Yamaha's like the late 
eighties RGX series are around DM 700, Gibson starts at DM 1200, Fender US 
Strat (new) is around DM 1500... Ibanez ranges from DM 700 (S-270) up to DM 
4500, EVH Wolfgang not under DM 3500 (new)
