Rich, I think not...Vinyl..albeit to a small scale. aslways existed 
thru=out..didn't pearl jam always use vinyl in the early 90's. as well as one 
or two other groups ?..turntables were always to be found somewhere..even if 
they were the stanton DJ type.... now finding a cartridge for the BIC 
turntable..that was a bit tough
