I would think each bot would be a unique member of the group, so each message from a particular bot would be considered a unique message, the same as if you and I were to post identical messages. 
It seems the most sense is it identifying messages based on the user ID, not the message body itself.  Much like messages addressed to me are only flagged "to me" when I see them from the particular feed that message to me was addressed to.
