Although I don't require a multi-step copy/paste with OpenXP (I use more modern and supported software. ), following a message thread with subsequent links as the main content of communication would be combersome. Stas' bot has done pretty good in a pretty short time. The FTN header and kludges seem to represent more than the minumum required. TgM messages are fully threaded and graphically represented using OpenXP. KW> .. and I appreciate the diversity that came when callers KW> roamed the BBSes. I almost succeeded in rounding up two ex-echomail users from years ago to rejoin us on Fidonet (via Telegram ofcourse! ) ...but they do not have cell phones (which is required to receive the activation code via sms), yet. They are quite comfortable with the "appearance" of Facebook style messaging. They are not interested in using the old- fashioned fixed-width DOS-like screens typical of the BBSes they remember. They would be fine with something new. They like the screenshots I provided of sample Telegram sessions using the desktop app. Aftershock/Hotdoged is limited to the smartphone/tablet. They do not want to be tied to just those devices. -- ../|ug --- OpenXP 5.0.47 * Origin: Got mobile? FUTURE4FIDO = https://tinyurl.com/yx9z6d37 (2:221/1.58) .
