 AA> Those links take the person to a page that shows the lovely icon, and the desc of the echo. Good. But it still has a Join button (not a Read button) and it still requires the user to have the app. If that's the case, why not just make the group public and findable in the first place?

If the option for joining wasn't there, it would be like advertising the Grand Opening of a shop everywhere, then when people show up having a sign saying "By appointment Only"
