There is a complete non-english non-American aspect to Fidonet. People who are 
not versed in the language of Shakespeare that well, or even at all.
 
Just because one doesn't see them in the classical sysop echoes, doesn't mean 
they're not there. In fact, they're even the majority.
 
For me, it's a non-event which happened in background.
