Firstly, replying to Nick on this topic is unlikely to get a supportive conversation.. I agree, I would like to "improve" what we have and innovate taking advantage in latest tehnology advancements, but keep the retroness of this hobby as it was. There are probably two parts to this - the BBS part (the end node), and the Mailer part (the infrastructure). I'm got a gazillion ideas of how to make the infrastructure easier, more secure, more effecient, etc and when I get in the mood, I work on something a bit more (the "Clearing Houz"). I may never get it done (I get distracted with life), but I've learnt a few things along the way so far (which was my motivation to get started). My goal is based on enhancing the infrastructure part, but dont break any connectivity to the end nodes - given most of that software is old, the code or author have been lost and we like to reminisce with it :) ....лоеп --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux * Origin: I'm playing with ANSI+videotex - wanna play too?
