I'm a HAM myself (ZL4PH) but have not played much with packet and to be
honest not that active at present as I'm far to engrossed in BBS as a hobby
:) That said feel free to have at it in the current HAM echo. It just takes a
few keen folks to strike up a chat and others seem to appear from the
woodwork :)

We did have a packet echo at one stage but it was largely gated content from
a chap in Argentina.
