Subj : Synology Docker Mystic Test To : All From : opicron Date : Thu Feb 06 2025 06:03 pm Eejz, I was suffering from an occasional unresponsive Mystic Docker instance. Causes were multiple issues: - too many connections to port 22/23 due to portscanners + causing Mystic to respond only with BUSY - my scripts failing and causing the node to freeze - various server issues which caused ssh/telnet to be unresponsive So, I was breaking my brain how to externally check if connection to the server was possible. I wrote a script which does the following: - Retrieves IP from Mystic Docker - Checks if the server responds with BUSY - Checks if with a timed delay we can find the ASCII string + ASCII is returned when connecting to mystic and not responding to the detecting terminal command - When required it sends a restart to the Mystic Docker If anybody wants to make their Synology Docker more failsafe, or wants to adapt this script to send other commands, feel free. https://github.com/opicron/mysticbbs/blob/master/src/mystic-test.sh oP! ....
