I am running Linux From Scratch 12.2+, for the fun of it more than anything else.

I'm not running Mystic currently but when I did I was running it on Slackware. Solid as a rock. Debian or Ubuntu would give equally, good results.

If I were to run a distro today I would likely go with Archlinux, a rolling distro, always being updated.

The most important thing is that you are comfortable where you are.
