Subj : Mystic mailer, ready for prime time? To : poindexter FORTRAN From : Al Date : Sun Feb 12 2023 08:03 pm Hello poindexter, pF> Is anyone using Mystic's mailer to hub for a small network? I'm pF> curious, been running Synchronet for many years and am considering a pF> change. Mystic is a beautiful BBS. I like the message reading functions and the built in spell checker. Mystic's mailer and tosser work well and will serve a network well as far as I know although I have not done that myself. Mystic lacks (currently) the ability to request files from other nodes or to honour incoming requests so that it something you will miss if you move from Synchronet if you use that. When I was using Mystic I found that it would import messages even from nodes that were not connected to an area. That was some time ago and I don't know if that is still the case or if that is of concern. Ttyl :-), Al ....
