Redundancy is only part of the solution.  You need a plan to refresh that media
periodically - and to move it to supported media.

I remember when they were cleaning out the data center where I worked.  There
was a box of disk packs that were marked "Retain until <5 more years>".  But
the problem is that they were for an Honeywell DPS6 - which at that time was
only seen in museums.

Needless to say, they tossed them.  They did make cool, but really large,
windshimes, though.  8)
