For me the lesson is to ensure I hatch files with no spaces, I don't personally mind long file names as I think it's 2022 and mailers and software should be able to deal with it. I know some can't but still... yeah... meh. As for a fix, with respect to Mystic I can see you have posted some info to James in the Fido Mystic echo (thanks for sharing those details :)) I have also just posted what I did, saw etc. in the hope that will help James spot what is amiss. It seems reading some of the other comments posted in fsx it could be with the way the mailers are sharing file name info being misunderstood between them... that being that case I remain hopeful some fixes can be found. I think having this happen has been a good thing on a number of levels as it hopefully surfaces some stuff that can be fixed and also gives me pause to check that at the very least, if I am to hatch a file the is longer than the old DOS 8.3 convention, that it's a file name with no spaces. Owen should not be troubled by any of this... and I want to thank him again for sharing his util that he's been working on with me / us. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/11/06 (Linux/64) * Origin: Agency BBS | Dunedin, New Zealand | agency.bbs.nz (21:1/101) .
