Subj : DXCommander Signature 9 - initial build report... To : All From : Shane Wolfe Date : Tue Jan 21 2025 01:04 pm Hey all... DE WQ3Y out of Severna Park, Maryland, USA. I moved about four years ago but just recently got around to getting my HF station back up and on the air (ultimately to get a BBS going again!). Our "new" house, much like the old location, is fairly space limited for antennas. I wanted something low-key without guy-line and the DX Commander Sigature 9 seemed to fit the bill. I picked it up a few weeks before Christmas and recently assembled it. I found the directions to be clear and easy to follow, and the Discord support channels are very helpful if you do have a question. I'm very happy with the performance, although I have yet to need to do any tuning of the cut elements. It was fairly well tuned as-constructed. I'll likely live with it as-is and tune when things warm up in the spring as my Yaesu 897-D has an ATU that can deal with the slight mismatch when needed... Good stuff. Quality is great and I'm a happy camper now that I'm back up and running after a long hiatus. Happy DXing! https://dxcommander.com/product/signature-9-dx-commander-all-band-vertical/ --- SBBSecho 3.23-Win32 * Origin: Exoplanet - exoplanetbbs.net (21:4/174) .
