There's issues with ROSE and ax.25 sockets, NetRom and ax.25 sockets, which
are the two most widely used encapsulated networking protocols under ax.25. 
For a more detailed explination, I suggest you follow linux-hams or look
into the archives of the URONode support list after subscribing to it.
