While using a Raspberry Pi 4 as my main desktop for around 8 months, I followed some guide on setting up the native ax.25.. I had it connected to a mobilinkd TNC into an Icom, and everything worked pretty well. I could monitor, run APRS apps, call out to packet boards, etc.
