It does, but unless you're running multiple BBSes or really don't want to
bother the network administrator, there's not much difference to setting
up an actual node vs being a point.

Either way, you have to get your feed from someone, and it might as well
be a hub vs another bbs. That is, someone's going to have to set your
feed up.

Most networks now days are tiny, fidonet if you can stomach it is the
biggest, though it's not /that/ big. Everything else I'm sure the network
hubs would love to have a new node, and wouldn't mind setting you up.
