Subj : Re: Making a podcast To : fusion From : dflorey Date : Tue Apr 01 2025 09:32 pm I've attempted to do something similar years ago... I used to host an internal only access Intranet knowledge base for all things IT when I was still starting out... I started getting pretty good with advanced Active Directory and Exchange tasks - the kind of advanced stuff that stumps most people, and started to document the best practices that we as IT admins should be employing for all AD and Exchange deployments. Problem is - its all at my house - not at work lol... So I put together a Wordpress site that's publicly accessible, but now the task comes to properly transition everything from my ancient notes based intranet to a more modern WebUI - correcting grammer, spelling, adding images, and generally updating content to be more relevant with current OSes... Its a timely process... I've started - I've ages to go :D One of the guys at the office was joking in a team meeting about how I like to document things very methodically and suggested we have a site called askflorey.com - so I checked, registered it, and changed my Wordpress site domain to that instead :D - it stuck! Documentation = time consuming but extremely important, and like you say, has to be worth it, ie: no going back to Google to look up what you already have tucked away... |14Dave! |05(|13dflorey|05) |13Retro16 BBS |05--> |14bbs.retro16.com |05(|13WIP|05) |07No one expects the Spanish inquisition! --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A46 2020/08/26 (Windows/32) * Origin: Retro16 BBS (21:1/226) .
